the fairsnape regen newsletter ...
working towards a regenerative future, learning from nature in addressing our climate and ecology crisis
Welcome to the fairsnape newsletter, by me, Martin Brown.
Back in 2021 I set up this newsletter as a dedicated space for our shared regenerative journeys, as a round up of comments and thoughts along with news and publications, linking nature, ecology, carbon, place, justice … with a focus on the built environment yet importantly on the the nexus with regenerative practices within other sectors.
What is the sustainability image of our built environment? despite sustainability efforts, it remains a (40%) contributor to the climate and ecological crisis. A regenerative future seeks to reverse this to a (40%) contributor to solutions.
This newsletter focuses on the journey we need to make, from ‘ego’ (business as usual) through ‘eco’ (reducing impact), to ‘seva’ - a worldview mindset needed to make real regenerative progress.
It will have no formal schedule, yet will collate and provide a narrative from stories, news, reports and articles, from Fairsnape, from the zoom regenerative series, from research, from best practice, and importantly from nature. It will be a more considered and thought provoking longer-read as an alternative to the short-form transitory social media soundbites
Welcome.
In the meantime please do subscribe and tell your friends!
