In many areas, on many platforms, we are seeing a rising tide for collective voices, for a regenerative commons and sure you are seeing and sensing this too.
Zoom Regenerative 73, led by Sophie Lacey and myself will, through discussion, visual prompts, meditation & language, using Gandhi’s idea of oceanic circles, explore what a regenerative network of networks could entail. We may have a blank sheet to work from but we need to start writing our collective stories.
Zoom Regenerative 73, Network of networks: connecting circles, joining hands, telling stories … exploring the new paradigm of biophilic & regenerative commons to find our collective voice for a better world. (Event Link)
We would love you to be part of this conversation and share your insights, thoughts and passion for a regenerative, biophilic future.
… voices calling for a collective story
Satish Kumar in his seminal work Soil, Soul, Society: “The leadership for benevolence will not be legislated through parliaments and senates. Such leadership and culture have to emerge from the grassroots"
Indy Johar “Let's write a new story; one that begins not with we the people but with we, the entangled"
Manda Scott - I am growing very tired of the 'we just need to all become systems-aware and let things emerge from a distributed network of local inter-being' - which sounds great in theory and is achieving very little.
Mary-Ann Ochota “the real challenge, to tackle the rise of the far/hard right, increasing anger and frustration from the public, loss of trust in our institutions, and climate, biodiversity, and economic insecurity - is to get much, much better at making a united case for what we actually want instead"
Uniting around a shared vision - let's have a party. Inviting people to share that vision … you can choose the tunes! - We need to organise. Otherwise what fills the void is fear"
Realtional Being: integration of scientific, indigenous, artistic, and community knowledge systems will further help to cultivate new (and old) pathways for climate resilience, food sovereignty, ecological restoration, and cultural renewal. This can be done through place-rooted networks, or meshworks, which evolve independently while supporting the collective work, and remain dynamic, existing within living wisdom and shared purposes and stories.
and zoom regenerative … join the conversation on the 20th May
